Current Initiatives:
The Office represents BC at National Health Sector Team meetings, coordinated by the federal government. The team is established to generate coordination in the export of health sevices and products from Canada.
The Office is coordinating a consistent, high quality set of audio visual aides to describe and promote the BC health sector.
The management and coordination of the British Columbia Health Industries Network (HINET BC) site on the Internet to assist in the communication and promotion of the British Columbia health sector.
The management and coordination of the Western Canadian Health Informatics (WCHI) site on the Internet to assist in promotion and communication of Western Canadian Health Informatics companies and issues.
The office also provides executive coordination for the Canadian Advanced Medical Services International (CAMSI). CAMSI is a consortium of the BC teaching hospitals and the UBC Faculty of Medicine which promotes and markets clinical expertise in Asian Pacific countries.
